Watched Army Wives Final Salute and I had to comment to the makers of this show....here is what I wrote to them:Stephanie ask about AF wives: Stephanie Wheeling, I am with you I wondered the same thing. What? The Air Force doesnt deploy, try telling that to AF wives who are holding down the hanger at home!!!! I was not only in the Air Force myself but an Air Force wife after my enlistment....and yes we are fully aware that the other armed forces think we dont do anything....well my answer to that, is the next time you need air support or to be transported wherever you are going....call the Army or Marines or the Navy, because if we cant be given credit for the job we do then find another branch to transport. And let me add this, for your spouse to tell you he is out, and cant tell you where he will be or what the mission is no joy either, and that happened to me many times as an Air Force wife......I loved the show, but high ranking officers wives and NCO wives, not in the military I served in, I guess they did it to show solidarity in the lives of the dependents. But I assure you, the Air Force does their fair share to further the safety of America and her citizens, if you dont believe that ask the wives of the pilots that have died protecting this country. And no we dont have a battle cry or catchy motto for our troops, but, the U.S. Air Force is a proud and distinguished service and I will always be proud and I do believe that I am an American Airman
