Watched a thai documentary on amulets last night and the young thai lady said Its rediculous to think that the amulets hold any sort of power or resonance of spirtual energy . That was a supprising statement seeing as how she was wearing one. So she thinks its a fashion statement lol? Maybe its reasurance of buddha, or the devan gods.The amulet business is at 40 billion dollars a year ladies and gentlemen, clearly people arent buying just because of fashion. Phalangs(Thai word for a person foreign to their country) typicaly buy into the fake, or mass produced amulet trade which isnt nearly as a big deal as those associated with an amulet blessed by the monks. A Kumanthong amulet can fetch over 500,000 baht just based on its year. People of thailand are very convinced of their power. Remember you never buy an amulet, you borrow it.
