Watched it, enjoyed it. Especially the decayed Alexandria Palace. I wanna live in there. With the butterflies and tigers. Then I read the Internet commenters and man, are there some whiners and losers out there. How could they ruin my favorite song (then dont listen to it? covers are done EVERY day. WTF.), why are they remaking something that didnt need remaking (totally a subjective statement. Ass. Because they can, and its good to revisit songs?), why did Brian Wilson cave (why not? dont hate the player, hate the game?), why One Direction (your extreme nonsensical hate of 1D is just as bad as the 1D fans youre continually excoriating for no good reason), why blow all this money when theyre so in the hole (...because they need to get you to donate and this kind of stuff usually works? And because with this video theyre launching a new initiative to do more for music in the UK, as if they havent been doing so much already.), are the BBC distracting people from the job cuts and constant tripe from the Murdoch camp (maybe? and so? they gotta run some sort of defense.), why this tripe as advertising in the middle of live classical presentations (if you cant listen to 2 minutes of pop during your Coronation of Poppea mid-afternoon snooze session, youre just as much a cause of classical music dying as kids today who are all like only my hippity hoppity music, I dont want none of that weird Glenn Gould talking to himself while playing the Goldberg Variations stuff. Too interesting for me. Start broadening your horizons, you heathen!), why not a non-religious song (again, you dont need to listen. And/or be a dick about it online.), why is it so over-produced (they need to have the right production for each voice - which they did a pretty good job with - so they over produce so that the general sound can still fit in all the variations for each unique sound within? Plus, have you heard the original? Ive heard beautiful stripped down versions of God Only Knows, and the original is over-produced in comparison. Not that it isnt great.), why are they aiming at the kids demo with all these youngster performers (most of whom are in their 30s and 40s? How old are they supposed to be? Youre no spring chicken yourself...), et cetera (if you hate it so much, go work for the BBC and make the next one way better. To quote a bogus quotation not made by Mahatma Gandhi: be the change you want to see in the world, and stop whining.) Yes, I realize I just ranted at Internet peoples who will never read this, nor learn from their mistakes even if they did. Zing!
