Watching Macys parade on television and remembering lining up on the curb, (my mother toting the omnipresent thermos of cocoa and my father his movie camera), to see the parade in New York -- long before Pikachu, Sponge Bob, and Sonic balloons. I remember the giant turkey, ice cream cone, stylized clowns, and Popeye balloons and, of course, Santa arriving in his sleigh parades end. Thankful for such memories, for my wonderful nuclear and extended families, and for peace wherever it exists in the world. Happy Thanksgiving to friends and family near and far!
