Watching The Patriot...Mel Gibson...it occurred to me, that men have lost so much in the process of time.Praying to God, the working through sweat...the growing of ones food...the true leadership of a family. Good men are few and far between because they have educated God out of their lives and when a movie, like Noah comes out they are confused, because they do not read their Bibles anymore and have been educated to think critically...to reason and believe nothing they cannot see, smell, taste, touch or feel. Deep down inside men want to fight...to conquer...to be heroes...to be wild and dangerous. But many families with single moms have stopped their boys from being men, because only a boy raised by men, can grow to be men. We need to fight...we need to conquer something and the frustration of life is,most men have been beaten into submission...and retreat to a cave, named after, what they want to be. But honestly, they live in fear...of God...of age...of being replaced at work and at home...of their women and of their children. They have been stripped of honor, duty and dull the pain, with whatever can be ingested or watched on an electronic screen. All the while watching real life leaving them behind... Its a War, they are not equiped for, because there are no clear cut enemies to see and fight against, so they sit in front of a TV, oblivious, confused and hoping, somehow, as their hair greys, or falls out, that there will be someone still there, when the commercials come on...someone who wants to bring him something cold to drink...or better yet, wants to sit and be there too. Because he is Alone and Lonely, and even though he looks useless, he is waiting for something to do....something to fix...someone, who wants to be loved, by him, and him alone. Who could that be? By the way... This isnt about me... I have God. Shalom, will Patriot eagle
