Watching new version of The Great Gatsby was not what I expected from the old version of The Great Gatsby with Robert Redford. The film was new and colorful. The background was clear, surreal and eye popping but the music sound track mixed with Hip hop totally ruined the genre of the story and the music of that time. You dont mix Hip hop on a Jazz Age. It just ruins its authenticity. Sorry I just stopped watching it all the way. If you are going to watch the new version of it better be strictly jazz where flappers bootleggers and speakeasiest dance to the music of duke ellington. What is it with the organ playing Bach Toccata and Fuge it made it sound so techno. There were no technos in the 20th century. Who ever made that movie totatlly ruined the authenticity of the book and the movie. Ugh not worth watching. :X :(
