Watching the NAACP Public Meeting, leaders are discussing the importance of voting in local elections, community churches and taking education seriously if the situation in St. Louis is ever going to change. If St. Louis wants to compete for national and international companies to relocate their headquarters here, to bring jobs here and if St. Louis wants to be a World Class City, we need out schools to be World Class Schools. They are right, the situation with Normandy Schools should NEVER have happened. Education and violence damage the St. Louis Metro Communtiy as a whole and we need to work as a whole to improve our school systems. As a whole we need to to work to make our streets safe, safe for all and safe from both civilians and police. WE ALL have a vested interested in making sure our children are safe and educated. WE ALL have a vested interest in making sure ALL parts of our community are protected and strong. That requires civic involvement. That requires people to engage in a proactive way.
