Watching this had me in tears. Even with him being 14 at the time of the crimes, never carrying a weapon, influenced by an older male and 11 + yrs rehabilitated without infraction, and new child sentencing laws he still deserves another 30 yrs. With white juvenile being 10 times less likely to be sentenced to life where is the light at the end of the tunnel for black men? Or black (need a new term) people in general? It is so obvious that all systems in America are set up for us to fail so i dont understand the lack of compassion we get from others that recognize this. They talk down on us as if our disparities are mere complaints, our own, such as Dr. Cosby, chime right in and help to perpetuate these beliefs about our people. With the odds already stacked against us and people being quicker to condemn, judge, and point fingers than they are to assist in the evolution of a great nation of people, or at least get off our fukn backs so we can actually make progress, what uptions do we have? How do we bridge the gaps between us in order to come together for the greater good of all? Is it possible and what are we willing to do to facilitate the process? Your thoughts please. If you can, find time to watch in its entirety so we understand the context of the discussion. Thank you all in advance for your contribution to this thread.
