Watching with my folks a doco on the exile remote female exile camp at the island of Trikeri .....1.600 women and kids exiled raped and tortured because they believed in the idea of being free Hellenes ...I am almost in tears and shocked because I never ever heard of such island and actions ...Never taught ..why have we never been told about it ...?Why exiled women have never been recognized for their resistance at the island of Trikeri ...?..I am ashamed for my ignorance ...I am.
