Water Cooler quarterly Meeting "Fall 2013 - Steps to Restoration" Tuesday, October 29, 2013 Tsakopoulos Library Galleria, Sacramento The passage of a balanced 2013-2014 state budget saw the very modest beginnings of restoration for the ECE sector- a small down payment on the over $1 billion cut from ECE programs since the recession began in 2008. While these are the first steps, we know that there is a long way to go to achieve true reinvestment in and enhancement of our ECE system in California. Young children must be prioritized in the state budget and put first in line for reinvestment in future budgets. In order to strategize with the ECE field on how to achieve greater reinvestment in the next budget season and how to prioritize those reinvestments for greatest impact, we invite you to join Advancement Project at the Fall Water Cooler Quarterly Meeting in Sacramento.
