Water Main Break At Saginaw And Cedar A water main break happened around 11 a.m. today off of Saginaw Highway and Cedar Street. The cause of the break was determined to be a shift in the ground. Water was turned off only for the area Burger King after contacting the manager. Restoration is expected in 6-8 hours. Traffic is still moving through the area, however, roads are partially blocked and drivers should expect delays. Because of the spring thaw, pressure underground can affect water pipes, sometimes causing them to break. The Lansing Board of Water & Light is prepared to respond to any instances of this happening within the community. Customers can report water main breaks to 517-702-6490.
