Waves Trust/DSWT Tsavo Sports Day Friday 17th October saw the inaugural Tsavo Sports Day organised by The Waves Charitable Trust and the DSWT. Hosted at Kalambe Primary School in Voi, tournaments saw netball and football teams from Gimba Primary, Sowa Primary, Gideon Mosi Primary and Kalambe Primary competing for the Kerrigan Waves Cup. With over 250 children involved on the day, either competing or performing traditional African dances and poems, it proved to be a wonderful community event. Teams from Gideon Mosi overcame stiff competition and won both the netball and football tournaments. Well done to Donald Kimbio and Beatrice Mwakoi for winning the fair player awards for football and netball. Special thanks to Waves who funded the event and Peach Branding who provided the winners t-shirts seen here and specially branded DSWT book bag for all players.
