Wbff Worlds Las Vegas where to even begin... Sitting in my hotel room here at The Cosmo, enjoying a moment of stillness amidst the chaos of Las Vegas, I finally have a moment to reflect on the entire experience. I have no doubt that I am merely skimming the surface, that when I land back in Victoria, and eventually make my way back to the great white north, it will really become real, but for now Im still kind of floating around in the surreal haze of it all. Last night I made my Pro Debut on the WBFF World stage in Las Vegas. Just three short weeks after winning my Pro card at the Vancouver show. I knew it was a huge, and borderline insane, undertaking to prep for two shows that close, but I couldnt resist the bright lights calling me. I guess Im just addicted to the glam. In any case, I went into this show with a humble heart, and one intention, to have the most fun, least stressful, most glamorous, most breathtakingly beautiful debut possible. Mission accomplished. I stepped on stage with my idols & inspirations, shoulder to shoulder with some of the most beautiful bodies in the world. I was honoured. Truly, deeply honoured. Reflecting back to less than two years ago, sitting at my kitchen table, reading through the pages of Fit & Firm Magazine, daydreaming of stepping on stage for the first time, never in a million years would I have imagined Id be sitting here in this hotel room writing this now. It gives me goosebumps, despite the Vegas heat. My heart & love go out to all the amazing people that shared this journey with me, making it the incredible experience it was, making it possible, and all the roles they played in helping me achieve my dreams. First and foremost Paul & Allison Dillett, without whom there would be no stage for me. The WBFF has given me a worldwide, enormous family that I cannot imagine a life without. I am so grateful. To my coach, N8, you really are the boss. Thank you, a thousand times, thank you. You saved me from myself. I am eternally grateful. I cant wait to see what this next year will bring. #Domin8 To my girls, Heidi & Rebecca, I fricken love you guys. From the pep talks to the floor forts, the selfies, the cheesecake, the belly laughs, and the sharing of all the moments, you made this year unforgettable. Im keeping you girls for always. Fleur, I fricken love you girl!
