We Germans have a very conflicted view of the term genocide. Not - TopicsExpress

We Germans have a very conflicted view of the term genocide. Not only do we have to deal with the Third Reichs legacy, but also the seldom known fact that genocide was committed upon Germans and Germany during the Twilight War, and the ensuing 300 years of French domination and determination that we should never be a whole people again. Well, we are a nation again and just when we get our feet under us and start to contribute to humanity again, Lutke goes on his Gottverdamte ride for Valhalla. So we are quite at a loss of what do. The first real German hero on the international scene in 300 years is also a man that tried to exterminate an entire race. And not for victory, no. For vengeances sake only. And not only that, he ruined several colonizable worlds in the process, worlds that had room enough for colonies for all nations, not just Germany alone. And now the veterans of the Kafer War are beginning to muster out into the Reserves. Do do they return home, to Germany, where their talents and experiences are needed? No. Out of bitterness, they go instead to Neubayern, Freihafen, and Dunkelheim, worlds that are or will soon be independent of the German State. They say we should have defended Lutkes actions and herald him a hero for a new age of German history. Why couldnt that bastard have died fighting in orbit around Gamma Serpentis and left Germany in peace? --Korvettenkapitan d.R. Klaus Otto Langer, DSKM --[formerly commanding DSKS Sachsen] --Off camera statement during an interview for I3VN [Interstellar 3V News Net]
