“We Must Become Example To Other Believers” (1 Thessalonians 1:2-10) “The church of Thessalonica is one of the greatest testimony of the power of God especially in touching and changing lives. According to church history this place in one of the center of idolatry in Asia Minor. But when Apostle preached the Gospel in this place and the people received it, they experienced true conversion from idols to serve the living God. In our text for today, Apostle Paul was very thankful to God for three things that he has seen in them. 1. Work of faith, 2. Labor of love, 3. And the last was their steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Ito ang naging outcome o resulta ng pangangaral ni Paul sa kanila hindi lang sa Salita kundi sa kapangyarihan ng Banal na Spiritu na may kapunuan ng conviction. Ibig sabihin, hindi lang basta nangaral si Pablo ng salita bagkus may kasamang kapangyarihan ng Spiritu Santo. Bagamat tinanggap nila ang Salitang Diyos na may pag-uusig pero di sila sumuko at nanghina dahil narin sa magandang patotoo ng kanilang mga leaders. At dahil dito sila ay naging halimbawa sa maraming Iglesia at marami ang nahamon at natuwa dahil sa kanilang tunay na pagbabago. Their faith not only became a testimony to their place but everywhere that is why even apostle Paul could not say anything. In other words he was very proud towards them because of their testimony that has been known everywhere. Dapat ganito din tayo ngayon na marinig ang pangalan ng ating Iglesia o lugar ay agad-agad sasabihin ng tao ang magandang patotoo. We must be an example as a group or a church that whenever they hear the name of our church they will immediately identify us as a good and challenging church. Iyong bang pag narinig nila yong pangalan ng grupo natin o church natin ay matutuwa ang mga tao at mayroong silang magandang comment agad. Kapag naging katulad tayo ng Iglesia dito sa Thessalonica hindi mahirap ang mag evangelize at mag win ng tao. Mayroong talaga kasing nabago sa kanila. Panahon na para tayo ay tunay na magbago upang tayo ay maging tunay na halimbawa sa lahat.”
