We (Wasatch Warm Springs Parks Association) are currently in the process of revitalizing the Wasatch Warm Springs Parks (Which originally fed the pools within the Wasatch Springs Plunge building). The first step in revitalizing the parks is to produce a Master Plan. The publics first opportunity to provide their commits, desires, and input for the parks development will be on Wednesday the 21st January at 6:30 pm in the Copper Room of the State Capitols East Annex building. Our initial vision for the parks revolve around the Warm Springs rich history. First and foremost we want to preserve the last two above ground flowing springs (Far north end of the parks). Next we want the park to reflect our citys abundantly diverse cultural heritage. We envision the parks as a place where all of our citys diverse ethnic, cultural, and religious groups can have a place to celebrate and share their culture, holidays, and celebrations with the rest of us. Some of the amenities that are planned are an Amphitheater, Interactive Splash Pad, large and small Pavilions, Disk Frisbee Course, Fitness Trail, improved Walking and Biking Paths, upgraded Tennis Courts and Restrooms. We have another idea for the northern end of the park. We would like to find out if the Hoberman Olympic Arch can be located in the park and tied in with the preservation of the Warm Springs themselves. Can you help us determine if the public and elected officials would support such an effort?
