We all have done it, wrapped a chain around the fork and used it to hoist a spreader into the truck. I was standing by watching a vendor load our repaired unit into the truck, and BOOB, chain came loose, slid down and the spreader bounced off the ground. Please use proper equipment at all times to load and unload anything. We are now down a spreader for at least 3 days! Moral of the story, 2 minutes of prep will save a mention on Facebook
