We all wait for one or the other miracle to happen in our life. It may be in the form of an unexpected promotion or finding the true love of our life or it could even be winning a lottery. Well, a decade back the word miracles meant something unrealistic and more surreal, like an angel appearing out of thin air or Genie from a lamp or a fairy godmother. All of them ready to grant you 3 wishes (always 3, never asked why), 3 wishes that could change your life forever. Yup, just like that, no performance appraisal, no overtime working and no night shifts. THREE wishes for absolutely free. And all the fairytales telling us to choose’ love’ over and over again, always teaching us the virtue of kindness, selflessness and honesty. How I wish for those miracles to happen now. Yes, if you are out there, Tinker Bell (my fav). I want you to happen now. And I promise you that I will ask for only one wish. I wish you to show me those people, whom I overlooked, the kindness which I took for granted and the love I missed. For these are the things I already had but failed to notice.
