We are HOME! We were pretty surprised to come home today without any oxygen, but we did!! I know God was answering prayers because overnight on Tuesday the nurses expected Jules to do great coming totally off of any oxygen support - and that we might go home Wednesday. But instead she really stalled right at a quarter liter...shed be doing ok so then wed try her fully off but then shed drop her saturations...going back on...doing ok then coming off then dropping sats...then back on again.... The doctor asked me how desperately I wanted to go home and if oxygen would be a burden. I told him I did want to go home pretty desperately and that oxygen would be a burden we were willing to bear. So Wednesday morning it looked like we would need to keep her on just a whiff of oxygen to come home. The nurse came on and said we should turn her off one more time just to see and let them know at rounds what she did. I think we were both expecting her to need to go back on, but she never did! Amazing! So we waited overnight on Wednesday to see how she did - and she did great!!! So today we got everything in order and packed up to come home! No oxygen!! I know four people who are very glad to be back with their family tonight, cozy around the Christmas tree.
