We are a biased society. This is the result of what media, our education and mentality turned us into. Is there any lesson out of this ? Do we still have the resourses to understand that there are human and decent solutions for every problem ? Lets try and speak the truth and maybe this can save and heal us. Lets stop for one second thinking that we are 2 parties ( supporters of the dogs and supporters of the children). We are all members of a society that DOES NOT WANT dogs in the street. The only difference that can be undoubtedly traced is between the people who want / DO something in a DECENT way and the ones who DO NOTHING and INSTIGATE to violent solutions. We expect our authorities to find a humane solution, not the mass killing euphemistically called euthanasia. But we should start as we often say here ”from our own yard”. How many of you tried to sterilise the dogs from your area ? How many of you tried to contribute with a cent to a shelter that CAN take a dog in and off the street ??? How many of you tried to think that violence can only yield violence ? The line between various types of murder is very thin. Today we decide to kill the strays because they have bitten us. Tomorrow we will find ourselves with a club in our hands poined against our neighbour because he has bothered us. Did we exhaust all means apart from murder ? No, we did exhaust the ”funds” allocated to a humane management because the funds were given another destination. So many of us know it. We did exhaust our patience of waiting and waiting from others to do something. And this is our fault, our rotten patience and our rotten will. We must not wait for others to do something because one day, we might found ourselves ”euthanised” . Lets stop complaining that we have loads of dogs in the street, as far as we did NOTHING to limit their number. And this, in a decent way, because we are HUMANS, NOT WOLVES.
