We are all baring witness to the great unraveling of our economic order or disorder would possibly better describe it, our biosphere and the 6th great extinction, where 200 species go extinct every day. We can crawl into a shell and cringe or we can make the most of every day whilst contributing the least amount of ongoing damage going forward. Times are bad and getting worse and the pressure will go on more and more every day. In the wealthy west we have been relatively immune to the ravages of climate change but now we can all see our weather patterns going nuts and records being broken every day, in the developing world which has created the least amount of the chaos, they have been suffering and dying for decades. Our planet has experienced population overshoot fueled by the burning of fossil fuels over more than 150 yrs but now the chickens have come home to roost and we will soon witness the collapse of our food production and the death of billions of people . I have witnessed the oceans dying over the last 25 yrs of ocean sailing and this is the source of over 50% of the human populations food supply. As the difference in temperature between the poles and the equator reduces tropical diseases for plants and animals will spread attacking the local ecosystems north and south, not giving them time to adapt and creating chaos and misery.
