We are all familiar with the contribution of Ivan Pavlov to Classical Conditioning theory (stimulus-response). Pavlov showed that dogs salivate at the sound of the established routine dinner bell, even when no food is present. Well... Im wondering if Classical Conditioning can be used to train our human body systems to instantly behave in a desirable way. Perhaps this is already an established technique, but I find nothing on it. For example: Can we train the acid reflux patients stomach to stop acid secretions at the sound of a bell. Can a particular tone or smell be programmed to dialate blood vessels and lower blood pressure. Just a thought. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivan_Pavlov
