We are also equally proud to present our next partner and technical adviser Coach jonny and The WAI. Me (mattias Persson) has been training in Jonnys art Pencak Silat Anyar Cimande Buhun for 1.5 years now and he is my mentor, instructor and friend so i am very proud to have him with us Here are some info on The WAI The WAI (pronounced way) stands for Warrior Arts of Indonesia. It is primarily a training & educational organisation that offers teacher training, seminars and classes in numerous authentic kampung & kota Indonesian martial art aliran (styles) The W.A.Is founder, Johnny Silmon has been involved specifically with the Warrior Arts of Indonesia since the very early 90s, with a wider exposure to Indo/Chinese martial variants since 1983. His travels have taken him to the archipelago nation numerous times where he has had the honor of training under many great masters in systems such as Cimande, Cikalong, Kari, Madi, Syahbandar & Silek Tuo to name a few. His constant investigations and research into not only the arts themselves but also the all important cultural aspects of the various ethnic groups have given him a deep understanding of the true essence and soul of Pencak Silat. With all of this collective knowledge but unfortunately with often so much confusion hype and myth that seems to surround Pencak Silat as a whole, it is Johnnys hope that people will really be able to experience & train in these incredible martial art systems in both their purest forms as well as being offered a more modern, scientific and highly functional approach to their practice and development. And some ifo about hes Pencak Silat Anyar cimande Buhun Coach’ Johnny Silmon has been involved with ‘The Warrior Arts of Indonesia’ for the past 24 years.
