We are always rushing around to different events, filling our lives with societal clutter and monkey mind. Sometimes we need to enjoy a little quiet time..."porch sitting" as my Grandfather used to call it. Start with 10 minutes. No talking. No "gotta fold the laundry." Just be. Acknowledge your thoughts and let them go. Try to work up to 30 minutes or an hour of porch sitting. You get bonus points for sitting in nature. Just this simple act of self love will increase your creativity, calm your spirit (as well as your nerves), and reduce stress. Try this as an experiment and let me know how it works for you.
