We are aware of the importance of raising strong girls, but raising boys who respect strong girls and see both genders as three dimensional is equally as important. Yesterday I received one of the most incredible emails from a mom friend. She wrote At only 5 feet tall and 100 pounds, she (Kacy Katanzaro) became the first female contestant to qualify for America Ninja Warriors final round. My son and I watched the video together...I wanted to make sure he saw that a girl was capable of doing this and for him to see her incredible strength. If more parents did this - made the extra effort to show their girls AND boys examples of strong women, imagine what the next generation would look like.
