We are delighted to announce that the British Psychological Societys 2014 Undergraduate Research Assistantship Scheme has resulted in 11 new research projects being funded. The scheme, supported by the BPS Research Board, provides researchers with the opportunity to give an undergraduate ‘hands on’ experience of research during the summer vacation. Successful applicants are marked out as a future researcher and potential academic with the expectation that the senior researcher, to whom the award is made, will develop the Research Assistant’s potential and interest in research. This year we received over 65 applications in total. The 11 projects will receive the maximum individual funding available under this assistantship.
