We are delighted to see the results of tonight’s State Superintendent election. Every facet of the education community has proclaimed the need for new leadership at the State Department of Education. Tonight’s results show our state is united in that belief. Regardless of who wins the general election in November, we are optimistic about the future of public education in Oklahoma. Each remaining candidate has expressed a willingness to seek the input of educators – the experts on public education – regarding decisions affecting public education. Pres. Linda Hampton
