We are destined to live under our cities in dark catacombs - TopicsExpress

We are destined to live under our cities in dark catacombs Why? Because no one will ever vote congestion tolling on roads. My prediction? As a result of the ever growing congestion well build so many motorway tunnels the city will collapse into the Swiss cheesed earth beneath it. Sad but true. In an ideal world wed uses taxes to get less of things we dont want without disrupting the efficient allocation of our resources. Its actually a very orthodox idea. Whatever your opinion is Im sure this little snippet wont change it. In the seven quarters of the carbon tax the economy grew 5.03% added 78,000 jobs and carbon emissions from electrical sector fell 10.3%. My prediction. Energy prices will continue to rise along with carbon emissions probably getting worse. No one will change their mind about anything they already believe in and public policy will continue to be less than optimal. Oh and life underground will tough, stock up on coal.
