We are extremely concerned about the recent spate of horrific cases of violence against women and girls. Including the kidnapping of 273 schoolgirls in Nigeria #BringBackOurGirls, the mutilation and murder of Dunya who was forced into child forced marriage by the age of 15 in KRG, 16 yr old Fatma who fled forced marriage to a much older man and was murdered by her step brother and mother, Farzana who was stoned in an honour killing by her family (who also killed her elder sister in an honour killing) for marrying against their wishes, the gang rape and murder of teenage cousins in India and in Malaysia the gang rape of a 15 year old girl by 38 men.
