We are happy to announce that Makokoba Health Care Initiative Trust (MHCI) through the generous donations of Makhox Brand administrators in South Africa, managed to pay a carpenter to repair tables at Thabiso Youth Centre. The trust also purchased a DVD player for the community centre that has over the years developed talent among our youths. We are grateful to the carpenter, Solomon, who is deaf, who also painted the tables as part of his contribution to the youth centre. On the day that our representative from MHCI, Miss Siphiwe Mhlanga, visited the centre to hand over the DVD player, she says she was overwhelmed by finding the youths using the computers that were previously donated to the centre by the trust. She had this to say, I was so happy to find the youths at Thabiso Youth Centre using the computers and some playing the indoor games that donors have so far donated. It was heartwarming to see that all is being used to develop our youths. We are still appealing to various stake holders and individuals to come forth with donations of cash, kind and services in order for Thabiso Youth Centre to be what MHCI and the community at large is working towards, that is, becoming one of the best youth centres in the world. Our appeal as a trust is for people from all corners of the world to support our initiative in developing Thabiso Youth Centre in becoming a centre that will embrace the youths through sports, education and culture. Our major task is to revamp the sporting facilities, the building and furnishing the centre with all the necessary equipment. This includes sports wear, balls, textbooks, stationery, printers, computers, internet connection, musical instruments and any other goods that can be used by the youths in developing life skills. At MHCI, reaching out to our communities, is what we do best makokobahealthcareinitiative.org
