We are happy to announce the start of a new series of online events for PHAP members. In response to requests from members for a platform to learn about and discuss current topics with other humanitarian practitioners, this series is meant to deal in particular with specific challenges affecting the sector. The first event, this Friday, 25 July, at 10:00 a.m. EST, will focus on #counterterrorism and humanitarian engagement. The event will feature Naz Modirzadeh, Senior Fellow, HLS-Brookings Project on Law and Security, Harvard Law School, where she leads the Counterterrorism and Humanitarian Engagement (CHE) Project; Jenny McAvoy, Director of Protection of InterAction; Charles Deutscher, Humanitarian and Counterterrorism Officer at the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC); and Dustin Lewis, Senior Researcher at Harvard Law School, where he contributes to the CHE Project.
