We are happy to reveal the second official track from Rendel Soundtrack - Music from and inspired the upcoming movie Rendel. Haunted by the Swamps of St. Michel - My Friend This is our tribute to 80’s ballads, I guess. An over dramatic song written in the wee hours actually went to good use this time. We talked with my bandbrother Juho Vehviläinen that we could just happily quit this thing if we could get a song to a movie. And now it’s actually pretty funny that it happened, says Swamps-guitarist Oke Inoranta. The song My Friend is only available in video format at the moment but will soon be released to online music stores. I remember getting an early demo of the song in the spring and Oke cautiously mentioned that it could work in a movie. It was five o’clock in the morning, and I was having a cup of coffee at the office, when I slammed headphones over my ears and thought that I’ll take my time to listen to the song. I think my first comment was “WOW” and I would argue that a tear or two ran down my cheek. A really tight ballad and an opening up and it gives a great contrast to the other artists from different genres in the movie, comments movie director Jesse Haaja. https://youtube/watch?v=OM0-7i9THW8
