We are in trouble! Do we really desire God? Most dont really - TopicsExpress

We are in trouble! Do we really desire God? Most dont really care! The Bible says, draw near to God, He will draw near to you. Why do you think such a statement is made? I have found in my almost 34 years of seeking God that it works. Im extremely disturbed that are gathering together has become an exposition of other things, and not a pursuit of experiencing and knowing God. People are satisfied with predictable meetings, they are satisfied with so-called praise and worship that is so dry and void of the presence and power of God, and they are comfortable allowing their brothers and sisters to remain in agonizing pain as they gladly quench the Holy Spirit and think nothing about it. The letter of the word is being preached, and the people do not have enough spiritual discernment and fire of God burning in them to recognize it. We continue to replace human emotions of caring and fell to express the true compassion of the Lord that manifests healings and miracles. They are satisfied to drink stagnated polluted water thinking it is the pure living water that flows from the throne of God. They have no problem telling the Holy Spirit we must let these people go home at noon, and you need to go away and stop doing what youre doing so we can allow the people to go home, and quench the Holy Spirit without any concern. They are content to set in an atmosphere of tension and restriction of the presence of God, and they ignorantly say, didnt we have a wonderful service this morning; while the sick and the disease and the lonely have to go home exactly the same way they entered the doors of the building. We ourselves, are in so much bondage to the system we continue to play the same game with them, instead of standing up proclaiming something is seriously wrong. The hearts of those who were panting after God, and so hungry for his presence and power, have curled up in a corner, and the fire they once had has died and they no longer desire Him, but have decided to go with the flow and not rock the boat. And the cycle continues week after week, month after month, year after year and decade after decade. We have been lulled to sleep, and the Holy Spirit no longer is the focus of our lives, and our time when we gathered together. From the depth of my heart. Renos H. Dickey
