We are looking for a Part Time Machinist to operate light machinery in a wood working environment. No experience is necessary and full on the job training will be provided. The position is for a minimum of 8 hours per week. You will be expected to work on a Monday with the remaining hours to be negotiated. This post would ideally suit a parent looking to return to the world of work and to this end we are more than happy to work around school hours. We are a specialist manufacturer of wood turned items for the national and international Joinery / Construction industry and an established retailer for major brands of Machine Woodworking tooling and manufacturing technology. Our production facility is modern and well extracted, but the nature of the position of wood processing is such that the post would not be appropriate for anyone with a medical condition which could be provoked by working with and in a timber based environment; or anyone who is taking long term medication where working in or around machinery could be hazardous to themselves or their work colleagues.
