We are “made a little lower than the angels” (Heb 2,7), but - TopicsExpress

We are “made a little lower than the angels” (Heb 2,7), but only briefly, a very temporary ‘permanence’. Even Job complains “My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle.” (Job 7,6) Yet there are some cheering facts about life. One is our make-up. We were not intended for short term; even our physical intricacies seem a waste for a mere 70-80 years, an over plus. But Ecclesiastes 3,11 says “He has put eternity in their hearts”. We could not be what we are by coincidence, nor by a million, million accidental variations. The Big Bang did not generate intelligence and self-consciousness – we have intelligence enough to know that. Mindless matter cannot make minds. The answer is where answers to the riddles of life are all found - in Jesus Christ, the fountain of life, the One who calls Himself “the Resurrection and the Life” (John 11,25). He solves all riddles and answers all questions. Trust Him. God bless you. REINHARD BONNKE Share with a friend
