We are not going to “RESCUE” or Adopt out of our companion animal epidemic. NO-KIll keep animals for years are full, keep animals for years, and it’s been reported they are discouraging owner surrenders and or the public from turning in strays. Traditional shelters (or KILL-Shelters) in their anti-quated approach often fail to do outreach, honor rescue efforts and lack transparency/accountability. Both types of shelters have placed animals in homes without background checks. Either way the animals DO NOT belong on the street or on Craig’s list "free to a good home." “Rescues” & “Sanctuaries" have been exposed as corrupt, abusive and for profit. IT IS TIME TO CHANGE NOW. We can no longer wait. WE MUST Immediately nationally discontinue PUPPY MILLS. It is unconscionable to continue to breed and/or for authority to IGNORE back-yard breeders. EVERY SHELTER should have 24 hour cameras & require TRANSPARENCY. EVERY ANIMAL MUST BE PICKED UP especially STRAYS. Mandatory Spay and Neuter. Battered Pet Syndrome has been exposed and video after video or the condition the animals are found in is a REAL sign it is rampant. Starvation implies intent, the willful withholding of food. Intent cannot be determined by the necropsy exam.
