Stage 2 (Intermediate) The duration of stage 2 is 3 Saturdays which comprise of 3 lessons and the course outline is as follows: Lessons are 4 hours long • Lesson 1- making modelling paste, preparing wires, Sugar flowers (roses and calla lily) • Lesson 2- Sugar flowers (carnations, blossom, filler flowers) • Lesson 3- Sugar flowers (roses, leaves) • Lesson 4- Covering a fruit cake with marzipan • Lesson 5- Covering a fruit cake with plastic icing and adding detail The equipment required for stage 2 is as follows: Apron, Batting, Brush, Cake smoother, Calla lily cutter, Calyx cutters, Carnation cutter, Colour, Corn flour 250g, Crimper, embossing tool , Daisy cutters, Florist tape, Florist tape cutters, Foil paper, Fondant / Gum paste tool set, Icing sugar 1kg, Kaylite or small dummy, Leaf cutters, Leave vainer, Marzipan, Paper knife, Plastic icing 1 kg, Plastic sheet 50 x 50cm, Pliers, Practice board covered with plastic cover, Rolling pin (large), Rose cutter, Ruler 30cm, Scissors, Set of blossom cutters, Small plastic rolling pin, Smooth apricot jam, Stamens, Coffee Mug, Tylose, Wire, Yellow Cotton Thread and Lineal Set The cost of stage 2 is: Excluding Equipment and ingridients.
