We are now home safe and sound! But a little while ago, we were on our way just up the road about 8 miles, and our front left tire went!! It was really raining, and so dark out. Glenn had never changed a tire on this car! We could hardly get off the road, and there was a ditch preventing us from getting off any farther! Glenn pulled the car about 20 feet farther to a deserted house driveway! Still parallel with the road. We were afraid if he turned in we would ruin the wheel! So here we were, no flashlight, traffic flying by, me with no back to speak of, raining, and dark! The first words that came automatically out of my mouth, were Thank you Jesus! Ty that we were not doing 65 in heavy traffic somewhere when this happened! Still, here we sat lol He couldnt see to even change the tire! I was afraid for him to try to change it in his dark clothing in the rain! I called 911 and told them our situation, and in 5 minutes flat, here came a God Sent police officer! He was a very kind young man from the Felton police station. Not only did he help Glenn, but he got so wet doing it! They could NOT get the tire off the car no matter how hard they tried! He called a friend and the guy got out of his truck,hit the tire with a sledge hammer and loosened the tire right away! We tried to pay him at least for his gas but he would not take anything! Just smiled and said have a good one! The officer did not take anything either! Tomorrow I shall take him a cake and at least a signed book! My point is, in this world that seems so full of hate, we experienced such kindness and love from not 1 but 2 men! Total strangers!! God saw it all! I pray His blessings on both of these men!! Thank you Jesus for sending them To us tonight! Patty G
