We are opening a coffee shop on New Years Day... tomorrow, we bake! The coffee shop will be open every Saturday between 8:30-noon and this time we will be running the whole thing all by ourselves, just Woz, I and the bugs. We each have our roles, Woz on Coffee, me on food, Lils on the cash register/petty cash book, Ari waitressing and Scarlett keeping the patrons amused/clearing tables when she feels like it. On the menu this week; Lamingtons, Lemon Meringue Pie, Devonshire Tea, Cookies and Brownies. Our biggest challenge will be to try to make a FANTASTIC cappuccino or even latte using UHT milk/powdered milk (any advice would be greatly appreciated)... Also, since we are catering to a largely American audience, we have also thrown in some Lemon Iced Tea into the mix. Ive been busy trying to get the toilet signs done and hung, make uniforms (which honestly I dont think Ill manage to finish for the opening) and get everything dusted and cleaned so we can set up tomorrow. Please pray that we dont get too stressed by it all and that we continue to have fun.
