We are proud to be part of the leadership and organizing effort for the Formerly Incarcerated People’s Quest for Democracy Lobby Day 2014 event taking place next Monday, May 19th at the Sacramento Capitol in Sacramento, California. Quest for Democracy is a historic grassroots endeavor envisioned and led by formerly incarcerated people who believe the time has come to speak up clearly and collectively in their own voices to policymakers that enact policies that impact them, their family members, and their communities. This event will start at 9AM and we will have buses ready at the Fruitvale BART station on Monday May 15 at 7AM for anyone who would like to go. The buses will take off at about 7:30AM.
