We are quickly approaching our goal of recruiting 500+ volunteers to help plant 15,000 3 ft trees on Saturday, May 17th. Our strategy for making sure the day is enjoyable for all is to recruit 25 to 30 people who have some tree planting experience, and who are willing to orient and coach a small group of less experienced volunteers as they plant 25 to 30 trees. If all goes well the tree planting will only take about an hour. After volunteers get their trees properly placed everyone will be invited to a central location within Hantz Woodlands where breakfast sandwiches will be served. John Hantz will be working the grill, and he looks forward to thanking friends who help us complete this neighborhood beautification effort.
