We are re-posting this from the Free Alabama Movement: WARDEN CARTER DAVENPORT IS AT IT AGAIN. . . It was learned and confirmed that FAM leader Melvin Ray is once again receiving the brunt of Carter Davenports repression. Melvin Ray was labeled the ring leader of this weekends Hunger Strike in St Clairs Segregation Unit. After Melvin Ray was denied medical treatment for possibly being food poisoned, several family members, friends and countless FAM supporters initiated a calling campaign in order to get Melvin medical treatment. Eventually Melvin was finally examined by the reluctant medical staff at St Clair Correctional Facility, where it was confirmed that he had excessive amounts of blood in his urine. This morning, -in a fury and in response to the FAM MARCH ON ST CLAIR, The Hunger Strike in the Segregation Unit and the multiple calls to his supervisor- Warden Carter Davenport has intensified his repressive tactics against Melvin in an attempt to silence and break his spirit. THE ENEMIES OF TRUTH & JUSTICE are busy. Therefore, THE ADVOCATES & SUPPORTERS OF TRUTH & JUSTICE MUST REMAIN UNITED & STAND FIRM.
