We are running a short filmmaking project for a national film competition The Nativity Factor telling the story of the Nativity in a new, creative way which would help us raise funds to make a feature film in 2014 whilst having some filmmaking fun. The organisers are looking for fresh perspectives on the classic Christmas story and it would be great for us to take part and show the rest of the country what we uop here in the North can do. Check out the website for more information and to watch some of the shorts from previous years nativityfactor Led by Helen Ward and Ben Race the project which will take place on Saturday the 9th November, 10am til 5pm for planning with the film shoot taking place on the weekend of the 16th and 17th November. Its a quick turn around but the film can only be a maximum of 3 minutes in length anyway. We are looking to recruit a film crew and actors with around 12 participants in total. (dependent on story). Places are free to new recruits but for those who have accessed our workshops before we ask for £5 per participant to put towards the costs.
