We are so lucky to have our NHS, last week the service Tony and I received at the clinic during my scare was second to none (not sure we could have afforded mammos and Usss and consultant led care if wed had to pay :/ ) and then on Friday we had a home visit from Mums psychiatrist (home visit because we cant get her into a car now with her MS being so advanced) he was horrified to hear that we only have 2 weeks respite a year (because of her MS and dementia being so complex and with her being so young she can only go to one place - £999 per week!!) and so hes pushing for us to have something called CHC and said hell do all he can to help me as Im so bloody knackered with it all (several careline calls a day/night, extreme confusion and extra, a lot extra, washing). so... if you know an NHS employee, go hug them today and tell they they are legends, fight Cameron and his fellow muppets while they try to destroy our wonderful health service and be patient when you have a long wait in a clinic that is probably overstretched, over used and understaffed. thats todays soapbox ;)
