We are still struggling with uploading images which is frustrating because this was a very good clinic. Good horses, open and willing riders, and a very friendly and supportive atmosphere. The recurring theme was simplicity: making things simple for both horse and rider. Uncomplicating things. We borrowed Susans picture of the mare Victoria because this is a horse who is extremely sensitive and complex and whom Susan wrote about as one who runs off and bolts for the exit and refuses consistent contact. Manolo rode her on day one and Susan described how instead of using the reins, Manolo first used his bamboo to channel her, create a corridor between wall and inside the arena, slowed her down with the bamboo crossing her chest, regulate her gaits using the bamboo in the sand by her feet, etc...The mare soon decided to trust Manolo and she allowed him to take the connection. The very good news is that the next day, pictured here, she was much improved for her rider as you can see here. Anyway, we will share a clinic report as soon as we have our pics but we want to say a very warm thank you to everyone who rode and spectated the clinic, we appreciate your welcome very much. Susan and Max alone deserve a long post of their own..ing up soon.
