We are studying Old World History, including much on the activities and political involvement of the Catholic church. My question is: How can people read this and still see a connection between Catholicism and the early church? Whom did Christ kill? From what leader did He demand obedience? Where was His vast wealth and political involvement? Peter? John? It is willful blindness to believe that someone who came along 300 years after the fact and bore absolutely no resemblance to His legacy is now to be worshiped and followed as on par with Him. Really, people. Read some non-affiliated history and wake up before its too late. Its just really sad. :-(
