We are trying to keep our Londoners as diverse as possible but one clear theme that has arisen in the first 26 is that 5 of them have a background in the armed forces! Our latest Londoner Andy McNab is well known for his time in the SAS from his book Bravo Two Zero, but what about the others? We have two Londoners (Moira and Ted) who are almost tourist attractions in themselves. Moira is a beefeater and Ted is a Chelsea Pensioner - both of these positions come after a career in the army. Londoner no. 3, Griff, took his job in an Airsoft shop after he left the armed forces and finally Londoner 24, Sophie, was brought up on an RAF base, and that childhood greatly influenced the community work we show in her film.
