We are uniquely and wonderfully different from one another, though members of the same body. Do not compare or measure yourself with your fellow human beings, whether they be saints or sinners, exemplary in performance or pathetic in any and every way. This is not wise. In other words, it is stupid or foolish. Human beings are not our God given or ordained standard; our rule; our measure; our prototype. Jesus Christ is our ruler! Our goal is to attain to the full measure of the stature of the Lord Jesus Christ and not any man or woman regardless of their spiritual or and earthly greatness. This, on the other side, does not mean that we cannot learn from our fellow human beings. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise. (2 Corinthians 10:12)
