We are very excited to announce the third year of the Go Red™ Multicultural Scholarship Fund this month which directly addresses important gaps in treatment that can lead to heart health disparities among African American, Hispanic, Asian, and other ethnically diverse women. The scholarship, funded by Macy’s, is in its third year and helps support the efforts of the American Heart Association to reach women of diverse backgrounds with heart-health information and resources. Applications for the national scholarship is open through December 31, 2013. The scholarship helps place medical, nursing and allied health school within the reach of deserving racial and ethnic female candidates and strives to increase diversity in the healthcare workforce.
