We are very excited to see that the 2015 San Diego County Fair (@San San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fairgrounds)) will celebrate the legacy of Worlds Fairs, particularly in California. Next years event, A Fair to Remember: a Celebration of Worlds Fairs and Balboa Park, will commemorate the centennial anniversary of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition held in San Diegos Balboa Park. The other big Worlds Fair held that year was, of course, the Panama Pacific International Exposition (PPIE) in San Francisco. To find out organizations in San Francisco, including the California Historical Society, will be celebrating the Centennial of the PPIE, visit Panama-Pacific International Exposition 1915 - 2015.
